bali-35.jpgBali - the tropical paradise!

Where does one start when talking about Bali?  There is just so much to say about the place.  It really is a tropical paradise.  Unlike many parts of the world, the people do not put on traditional dress and shows just to get the tourist to part with their dollars.  No, Bali is a place where people are wearing traditional dress. day in, day out, because that is what they wear.  They have not embraced the western fashions and styles that 'globalisation' brings.

Bali remains a real tropical paradise - a place where local people lead a simple life. A place where you can find genuine peace and comfort.

Put any fears and inhibitions aside, Bali is the place to head to if you want to relax and have a fun time in a genuine and authentic holiday location.  In Bali, what you see is what you get.  Sure, there are bars and restaurants aimed at the tourist trade, but that is one small part of what this wonderful place has to offer. Bali is not renowned for its fantastic night life.  You go there because the locals are really nice people, the culture is rewarding, the beaches are bliss and the weather is what you seek.  Bali is a cheap place to holiday and there are good shopping opportunities.

Bali is an ideal holiday destination for everyone.  Families, couples, singles, groups, gays and lesbians will all find something for themselves in Bali.

A note of caution: Please remember that drugs are illegal in Bali and the death sentence is available to the courts when sentencing  anyone caught in possession of drugs.

Things to do in Bali

  • Get down to the beach and lay on the sunbed under your parasol.  If you are gay then you might want to check out Petitenget Beach, which seems to be popular with gay men in particular.
  • Go diving with Bali Scuba.
  • Take the family (or your better half) to the Bali Waterbom Park and Spa, with water slides, massage, cafes and parks.
  • Spend the day doing off-road motorcycling, which can be organised through a local travel agent.
  • Go parasailing, snorkelling, diving or walking along the beach.  There are also trips on glass bottomed boats where you can view the coral and tropical fish.  All of these excursions can be booked locally in Bali.
