Definitely Not a Yes Man!

Yes Man Movie is worth the THB140 - but only just!I went to the cinema last night to watch the movie Yes Man! I could have just gone down to Silom and bought it from a street vendor, but then I would have had to run the gauntlet of young Thai boys with their "DVD, Sex, Porno" routine.
Straight, Gay or Just Plain Queer?
Sometimes, you just don't have the strength to say "No" every 3 metres. Seriously, you will have to pass 10 boys every 100 metres. And they all ask exactly the same. And once you reject the offer of sex with a Thai girl or a raunchy DVD from a boy stationed down a dark alley, you'll get the immediate question of "You like boy? Sexy Boy?".
Coming to Silom Road Soon!
The other benefit of going to the cinema is that I get to see the trailers before the main feature and it lets me know what the Thai boys are selling on the street down at Silom. It is hilarious that Thailand is currently trying to win the right to host the ASEAN summit on Intellectual Property (i.e. how to respect and protect it) and yet the country is amongst the worst in the world for breaching IP (all with the implicit support of the police, military etc). You have to respect their brass neck - and laugh, of course!
Carrey Rarely Fails To Disappoint!
As for Yes Man, it is your typical bland, mildly titillating comedy that you expect from the United States of America. It is now 24 hours since the movie and I have forgotten most of the scenes and gags. Jim Carrey has made a couple of good movies (Eternal Sunshine, Ace Ventura, etc) but most of his stuff seems to be lame comedies that are aimed at old people who do not want anything risqué on their TV!
You'd better start using face products if you want to be able to show more than your bulges on dating and chat sites! If you are at a loose end and feel the need to get out of the house for a couple of hours then Yes Man will do the trick. If you are wanting something with a lot of good humour in it then this is not for you.
Essential Face Products!
Oh, and another bad side to this movie is that Carrey looks very, very old in it. His wrinkles, bad skin give away his age. Full credit to him for not bothering with the make up, soft lighting etc but his look made me feel ridiculously old myself. I think I might need to get some wrinkle cream before I end up looking haggard too!

I'm checking out if I have to agree with you. That's because humor is important in making people happy for awhile and it helps when courting someone.
